English below. Manchmal bin ich von meiner eigenen Kunst gelangweilt und zurzeit bin ich wieder in so einer Phase. Das sind immer Gelegenheiten, bei denen ich etwas Neues ausprobieren oder den Spaß wiederbeleben kann, den man mit einem anderen Medium oder Stil hatte.

Letzte Woche habe ich mir ein paar Linolschnitt von BoinStudio gekaufte (Check sie aus. Ihre Sachen sind cool!). Als ich das letzte Mal selbst Linolschnitt gemacht habe, war ich noch in der Schule. Es ist also eine Weile her. Die Drucke haben mich aber in die Stimmung versetzt, es doch noch mal selbst zu probieren. Ich habe mir sofort ein Starterpaket gekauft und hier seht ihr das Ergebnis meines ersten Versuchs mit simplen Formen!

Wie ihr sehen könnt, war ich nur halb erfolgreich. Keiner der Drucke ist sauber abgezogen, die Farbe ist nicht durchgängig. Ich habe versucht, mehr Druck auszuüben und mehr Farbe zu verwenden (und wie ihr seht, ist einer Drucke halbwegs okay), aber ich bin nicht zufrieden. Falls jemand von euch mehr Erfahrung hiermit hat, freue ich mich auf eine paar Tipps, wie man die Drucke sauberer abziehen kann.

Last week, I bought two linocuts by BoinStudio (Check her out, her stuff is awesome!). The last time I did this myself was in school, so it has been a while. But the prints put me in the mood to try it out myself again. I swiftly got myself a linocut starter set and here is the result of my first try with just a few simple shapes!

As you can see, I was semi-successful. None of the prints seemed to have printed cleanly, the color is not solid. I tried applying more pressure and using more paint (and as you can see one of them turned out kind of okay) but I am not satisfied with it. If anyone has more experience with this, I would highly appreciate tips on how to make the prints look cleaner!
