I promised you fanart and here you go. Project Hail Mary has been an obsession of mine since I read the book 2 years ago and the movie reignited that. Since March, I have wanted to draw for it, but I have this blockade when it comes to fanart. Because with a full-time job there is not much time and energy to do art. There is even less, if you do a big project, such as psychoSoph, on the side. I often feel that I should draw something original in the time I have left. In other words, I don’t allow myself to have a little fun.

So, let’s change that. I tried drawing something funny but noticed that I struggled with Grace’s face a lot. To remedy that I decided to draw a couple of studies from photos. I think I understand his face better now and will try to transfer it into my comic style next. Will also do the same for Rocky soon.
