Ich wünsche euch allen frohe Festtage! Genießt die Zeit mit euren Lieben. Diese Woche daher ein etwas weihnachtlicheres Bild. Ich mag die Effekte sehr gern, die entstehen, wenn man auf braunem Kraftpapier zeichnet. Daher habe ich mir einen neuen Block gekauft. Allerdings bin ich etwas unzufrieden, da sich das Papier abreibt, wenn man etwas stärker mit dem Buntstift aufdrückt. Große Kontraste scheinen damit nicht möglich zu sein. Im Vergleich hier ältere Versionen auf anderem Papier, die ich auf dem Blog hochgeladen habe. Und ich bin ehrlich, die beiden Figuren haben etwas Uncanny-Valley-haftes (gruseliges), weil ich – vor allem beim Mann – die Augen etwas zu groß gezeichnet habe. Aber was soll’s. Ich habe wieder geübt. 😉

I wish you a merry Christmas. Enjoy the time with your loved ones. This week I am posting something more fitting for the time of year. I like the effects that arise when you draw on brown kraft paper. So I bought a new drawing block. But I am a little dissatisfied because the paper dissolves a little when you put to much pressure on with the colored pencil. It does not seem to be possible to create greater contrasts. For the cmparison, here are older versions on different paper that I uploaded on the blog. And to be honest, the characters do seem to jump down the Uncanny Valley a little (they look kind of creepy) because I drew the eyes to big, especially for the guy. But whatever. I practiced. 😉
