Ich wünsche euch allen ein Frohes Neues! Hoffentlich seid ihr alle gut ins Jahr 2019 gerutscht und startet das Jahr voll Motivation, Gesundheit und Freude.

Dieses Mal wollte ich das Jahr mit etwas Buntem, Leichtem und etwas Kitschigem beginnen. Daher habe ich mich entscheiden, farblich mal etwas für mich Ungewöhnliches ausprobieren. Neue Challenge für mich also! Ihr seht auf meinem Blog, dass ich gerne kräftige Farben verwende. Aber ihr erinnert euch aus meinem letzten Beitrag vielleicht auch, dass ich oft viel zu wenig Wasser für meine Aquarelle benutze. Also habe ich diesmal eine Farbpalette gewählt, die mich zu mehr Wassergebrauch zwingt. Was eignet sich da besser als Pastelltöne? Mein Vorbild dafür waren pastellfarbige Marshmallows. Ich bin überrascht, wie gut das funktioniert hat, auch wenn ich jetzt im Nachhinein finde, dass ich etwas sparsamer mit den Outlines hätte umgehen sollen.

This time I wanted to start the year with something colorful, bright and slightly kitschy. That is why I decided to try something out that is rather unusual for me, colorwise. So, here is a new challange for me! On my blog, you can see that I like to use saturated colors. But you may remember from my last post that I tend to use too few water with my watercolors. So this time I chose a color palette that forces me to use more. What is better for that then pastel colors? My model for these were pastel colored marshmallows. I am surprised how well this worked out, even though I should have skimped on the outlines a little.
