Unsere lokale Buchhandlung hat zum Gratis-Comic-Tag letzten Samstag einen Mangawettbewerb veranstaltet, wo Kunden über das beste Bild abstimmen konnten. Es ist schon eine Weile her, dass ich bei Wettbewerben mitgemacht habe. Aber ich hatte mal wieder Lust drauf! Das Bild hat den 2. Platz gewonnen! Juhu!!! 😀 Danke an meine Bekannte aus dem Buchladen-Café, die mich auch den Wettbewerb hingewiesen hat und alle, die für mich abgestimmt haben. Es hat echt Spaß gemacht und mir gezeigt, dass ich es noch viel mehr als das Illustrieren mag, Geschichten mit meinem Bildern zu erzählen. Hat mich in Stimmung gebracht, wieder an einem Comicprojekt zu arbeiten.

Our local bookstore hosted a manga contest for the Gratis-Comic-Tag (free comicbook day: an event in Germany that takes place once a year where you can get the first chapters of some comics for free) last Saturday where custumers could vote for the best picture. It has been a while since I participated in a contest. But I was in the mood to try again. The drawing made second place! Yippie!!! 😀 Big thanks to my acquaintance from the bookstore café who told me about this and to everyone who voted for my picture. It was a lot of fun and it has shown me again that I like to tell stories with my pictures even more than I like to do illustration. Makes me want to work on a comic project again.
