Für einige Zeit habe ich mich ganz vom Comiczeichnen zurückgezogen und eher etwa illustrativ gearbeitet. Eigentlich erzähle ich aber gern Geschichten. Die Idee für eine kleine Comic-Kategorie, die ich „Small Things“ (kleine Dinge) nenne, geistert schon länger in meinem Kopf herum. Das soll eine Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten werden, in denen es um kleine glückliche Alltagsmomente geht. Dabei soll es für mich darum gehen, nicht regelmäßig ein neues Kapitel hochzuladen, sondern wirklich nur daran zu arbeiten, wenn ich Lust darauf habe. um das „DU MUSST!“ aus dem Zeichnen rauszunehmen. Eventuell würde ich das sogar nutzen, um mit dem Comicstil etwas rumzuprobieren, aber das habe ich noch nicht entschieden. In den letzten Jahren habe ich tatsächlich immer wieder Entwürfe dafür gestartet, sie aber nie gezeichnet. Aber nicht diese Woche. Hier seht ihr also das Work-in-Progress für einen dreiseitigen Minicomic, den ich hoffentlich in den nächsten Wochen beende. Ihr dürft gespannt sein auf weitere WIPs und (hoffentlich) auch fertige Comicseiten. 😉

For a time, I did not really draw any comics anymore and focused on more illustrative work. But I really like to tell stories. The idea for a little comic category that I call “Small Things” has been going around in my head for a very long time now. It is supposed to be a collection of short stories about little happy everyday moments. This will not be a project where I regularly upload a new chapter but something I only work on when I am really in the mood to do it. In order to take out the “You have to!” out of drawing. Maybe, I will also use it to experiment with the art style but I have not decided on that yet. In the last years, I have actually started a few concepts for this but never really drew them. But not this week. Here you see a work-in-progress for a three-page mini-comic that I will hopefully finish in the next weeks. So look out for more WIPs and (hopefully) some finished pages. 😉
