Es geht nun so richtig los: Die erste Seite des Mini-Comics „Brille“ ist da! Bin ich froh, dass ich sie bis heute fertig bekommen habe! Schon jetzt habe ich das Gefühl beim Zeichnen viel gelernt zu haben. Zum Beispiel werde ich in Zukunft noch mal mit der Dicke der Panel- und Sprechblasenlinien herumspielen, damit sich die Zeichnungen besser davon abheben. Die Hintergründe… waren wie immer eine Herausforderung. Wenn ich sie zeichnen muss, ist meistens der Punkt erreicht, an dem ich die Geduld verliere. Das ist aber vermutlich auch nur Übungssache.

Diesmal habe ich mich übrigens dagegen entschieden, die Seiten zu rastern. Ich wollte sehen, ob ich es hinbekomme, die Elemente auf der Seite unterscheidbar zu machen und dabei zeitlich effizient zu bleiben. Das hat noch Verbesserungsbedarf aber ich komme hin. Über die Story schreibe ich, wenn der Comic durch ist. Ich wünsch euch jetzt erst einmal viel Spaß beim Lesen! 🙂

So, now it begins: The first page of my mini-comic „Glasses“ is out! I am so happy that I managed to finish it in time for today’s post. Already, I feel that I have learned a lot while drawing this one. For example, I will experiment with the thickness of the lines from the panels and speech bubbles a little, so that the drawings separate from them a little more. The backgrounds… were a challenge as always. Usually, the point where I have to draw them is also the point that I lose patience. But I guess this is only a matter of exercise.

By the way, I decided against using screen tones for this one. I wanted to see whether I can manage to make elements on the page distinguishable and stay efficient with my time. This could be improved but I think that I will be there at some point. I will talk about the story once it is finished. For the time being, have fun reading! 🙂
