InIn letzter Zeit hatte ich wieder Probleme, Ideen für meine Zeichnungen zu bekommen. Ich bin immer noch sehr unzufrieden mit meiner Kunst. Statt einfach mein leeres Blatt anzustarren, habe ich also beschlossen, mein kleines Skizzenbuch zu greifen und die 30 ways to fill a sketchbook Serie von Minnie Small nachzumachen. Ich werde mich allerdings nicht an ihre Reihenfolge halten, sondern immer die Zeichnung machen, auf die ich an dem jeweiligen Tag Lust habe.

Lately, I have struggled with coming up with ideas about what to draw again. I am still dissatisfied with the stuff I do. So instead of just staring at the blank page I grabbed my smaller sketchbook and started doing the 30 ways to fill a sketchbook series by Minnie Small. I will not do them in the same order as her but choose based on what I am in the mood to do the day.

Blind-Contour

Wie ihr seht ist das ganz rechts einen ziemlichen Fail. Failed quite miserably with the right one.

Lettering

Man könnte glauben, dass jemand, der zeichnen kann auch Typographie beherrscht. Aber lasst euch hier nicht vom Äußeren täuschen! Das ist eine ganze Kunst für sich und ich brauch hier definitiv mehr Übung. Wörter aus einem random word generator.

You would think that someone who can draw would also be able to do typography. But do not let appearances fool you! This a whole other art and I need to practice a lot here. Words from a random word generator.

Silhouette Challenge

Diese hat mir diese Woche am meisten Spaß gemacht. Es hat geholfen, meinen Tunnelblick etwas zu lösen. Meine Lieblinge sind der Dumbo–Oktopus, das Auto und die Pflanze.

This was the most fun this week. It helped loosen up my tunnel vision a little bit. My favorites are the dumbo octopus, the car and the plant.

 

Facial Expressions

Ich denke, Gesichtsausdrücke sind meine Stärke. In letzter Zeit habe ich etwas Probleme mit der Perspektive und der Position des verdeckten Auges. Vielleicht sollte ich noch ein paar Gesichtsübungen mit Referenzen machen.

I guess facial expressions are my forte. I struggle with perspective and the position of the background eye a little lately. Guess I should do some more life drawing exercises with faces.
